Yoga on our days

A week ago I decided to include yoga as part of our day.

We still haven't manage to introduce to every day's routine, but when we do it, we enjoy it very much.

The way I do it it's just to get any routine form a magazine and follow it, I have some notions on how you should move your body from the times I was a ballerina and also from my acting training. I did had some yoga classes too in the past years.

My son found it hard to follow my instructions, but I think that we will get to it.

I got a nice app for the relaxing music and right now we have one mat.

At the end I let my son relax and I massage his feet and sprinkle some nice natural scent in the air, I think it must be his favorite part, and mine's too, because we bond, I hope to get better organized to include it on every day start.

Easter

I haven't shared our Easter, so, late but here it is.

As usual I made a map, this is more for me too, because it's usually late are night the day before that I place the eggs, meaning I'm very tired and I would forget instantly were I placed them, I don't want any of melting away lost among the house, so I made the map and give it to my kid.

I made three knitted bunnies and left the smaller one next to the map to be the guide.

I want to say that  I made all these craft things out of pleasure, I rally enjoy doing them, and I guess that's my way to add joy to my kid's childhood. I'm not so comfortable with the idea of magic, I just to see the point, I feel it like a lie, but we do enjoy playing magical pretend games and reading.

He was very happy with the bunnies that were quickly add to the bunch of sleeping companions, and insisted to share the chocolate eggs, such a kind heart this one, I love him so much.

Elvish Crowns, more on the Hobbit party and a pattern

I have been working on ideas for the party, it's more like my head is going super fast and I have to write all down before it fades away.

The other day we went to the art supplies store, I needed some special paper for the shadow puppets I'm working on and we run into the sparking foamy,  I'm usually totally against this material because it's plastic, but then I imagine it could work for the elvish crown and I got a few sheets.

So last night, wile my boy was having dinner I designed the pattern and cut it.

When he went to bed I got to work on them and was able to produce seven. My goal is to make 20 so there will be enough for kids and adults, we are only having about 8 kids invited, I have found that less is more and instead of asking every kid we know I try to keep to the close friends only and that gives me the chance of going crazy with the crafts and do something special for each kid, such as cloth bags instead of paper ones for the party favors.

And I thought I would share the pattern with you, it's really easy to do as soon as you get familiar with the cutter knife. You can download it here. Or if you rather get them finished I add them to my store, click here.

I used a elastic thread that barely holds them but still keeps them in place, so the foamy would not break.

Getting ready for party number 8, a Hobbit one.

My boy is turning five this July.

I can't believe it. Eight sound so big, like he is not a kid anymore somehow, that cuddling would be out of order, thankfully, is not the case, but still, eight, oh my.

I have never before fall into any comercialized theme for his parties. but this time I accepted, trying to go more for the book than the very violent (in my opinion) movies.

And as usual I'm going crazy with preparations, I want to make all sorts of things for the kids and a very nice meal.

So far I have made some leaf barrettes for the hair and pins for the capes of anyone that wants to be one.

I'm also making some beards.

And elf ears.

I let you know about it as it goes.
