I'm still reading The Lonely Polygamist, but also Your Six years old, a series of books that I found very helpful in mothering. On the knitting front I cast Owls again, I had years ago when I just was starting to knit, but I didn't like the yarn I used, plus I didn't understand pattern very well back then. I'm liking very much this Berrocco Yarn, but the weight is lighter, so I hope it works, going up one size to end up with the right one.

I didn't read much this week but I finished two projects, these socks that I started in last August and a hat, both for my partner who lives in Argentina, so of I'm just in time for the south hemisphere winter.

I'm planing on try this pattern, but is way far from my skill, we'll see if I can figure it out.

I finally finish some diaper covers from an order and so I'm back to knit other things. I got back to this socks.

I'm obsessed with socks since I started knitting and I spend time watching beautiful patterns. 

In the reading side of the I fell in the series of The Hunger Games, the first bought by 5 dollars in digital version of the first book in English and read it on my computer, then I bought the second and then I was going blind so I bought the last on on paper, and then ended up buying back the first and the second this time in Spanish and rereading. There is a lot to talk about the content of them, I'm not proud of this reading, but they are very addictive.

I  really want to make these socks when I finish what I'm doing, I love the wheat on them, although they are far from my knitting skills, but still I think I can make it.

Kids clothes week spring 2012

I'll try to finish this outfit for my son, he wants to dress all elegant, as a musical director, he says.

And a bow tie and maybe this shirt that I cut long ago.

In general I want to take all projects that have been waiting, we'll see.

I wanted to share the eggs I made them with this pattern, also a bunny family that came out late but is very loved. Here my notes and pattern.

I'm also knitting the Melker Cardigan for my son. I finished reading Your Five Year Old very useful as the whole series of books. I also found this reading useful for mom's of boys.
I'm reading now Traditional foods are your best medicine that I will recommend very much.

I'm also knitting a diaper cover in this delicious bamboo yarn.

 I finished the tangerine-orange sweater, I loved the pattern, very easy to follow and adapt to the particular size. my notes here.

Now I started the Saartje's Bootees, that I have always wanted to knit.

I have been strugling a little with my son, so I picked up Your Five Years Old, which has been enlighteing.

I'm amazed on how much knitting I'm doing this days. I continue to knit for my baby's friend who will be born on September or something like that. I wish I have had knit this much for my own son, but five years ago I didn't knew almost anything about knitting. But I think he start that interest for me, I got my first knitting book when I was pregnant and went to a circus festival in San Miguel Allende

The first thing I knitted was a sweater for my baby.

Now I'm working on this sweater, inspired by our orange-mandarin breakfast juices. Love the yarn, so soft, is Premier Yarns Merit.

This week I'm not reading at all, since my father is moving in, so I have a lot of organizing to do.
