I have been busy with a new plan of life, that's why I had not post lately.

Conserva

I finally can for the first time, and succeed.

Lavando platos

I'm trying to make an habit of us washing dishes after very meal, he loves it (the pic it's just one of his funny faces).

Zapallo

This that grew out of the compost pile it's going great, I think it's some kind of pumpkin, it has 43 forming flowers, I'm very excited, I think I could exchange the pumpkins for eggs or fruit at the Farmer's Market I work on.

How about you these days?

Making it easy

We love natural fruit juices, I don't sweet them with sugar but moderate molasses, but it's very tiring to be making several at day, so I started making concentrates and freezing them, so I can just add water and have different flavors in the week, I love so much to have found this solution.

Concentrado

What about you, any tip on making it easy in the kitchen?

This and that

I have not sleep enough because I have to finish some bolsters for yoga, I should have done it earlier, but this is the kind of work I don't enjoy much, to repeat and repeat like a sushi robot.

Anyway, I didn't have much on the house to make lunch today. Mu mom gave me her juice extractor so I had some carrot pulp and I wanted to use it. So I mix it with eggs little potatoes, zuchini, grated cheese, rosemary, oregano and salt in a oven glass container.
In a pan I cook a little some chopped onion, garlic and peppers on olive oil and add that too.

Revoltijo

And the the I cook it in the oven for 20-30 minutes, it end up very well.

Quiché de verduras

And, since I already had the oven hot I made some brownies with almond pulp left form the other day's milk.

Almuerzo

It was delicious.

Pastel con harina almendra

It's been very hot and sunny around here these days, so I look like I went to the beach.

Mi pies de colores

I continue to work also on the Art Wall on which all the order of my living room depends, but it's a long project.

What about you?, what have you been doing?

Updates

So the biscotti came out just fine, I have been eating them a lot, officially starting the eating season, I guess.

Biscotti de chocolate con nuez

I think they are a great gift, you can just place them in a fabric bag, such as this one I made for my son to take to art class for sharing.

Bolsita

They are esay enough, and the recipe is here.

Adornos navideños

My son made these Christmas decorations, I love them, he was very excited and told me were they had to be.

I havent finish the Advent Calendar, and tomorow is already December 1st, does this freaks anyone besides me?

Actividades de Adviento

Our Advent crown reinterpretation is going well, we are working in our virtues a reflex about our progress every night, and then we lit a candle and read a poem, the same every night for a week, this certanly changes our mood.

On Sunday we went to the playground near our home, behind there is small a coffee plantation, and I could no resist and went to pick some grains from the ground, I'm going to try to process them myself.

Day of the Dead

I had to sleep out for 3 nights and that made very cranky, cause I missed my home and my sewing.
Kimono olas
On Saturday an old lady friend came by to the Farmer's Market where I work and we went fabric shopping, I got this leaves fabric, so I made this Kimono, by adapting the Weekend Sewing: More Than 40 Projects and Ideas for Inspired Stitching pattern for my size.
Ofrenda

And finally on Monday we made our altar to celebrate the Day of the Dead, we also made the traditional Bread of the Dead (recipe soon), and eat it with chocolate, in water for me (as in the picture) and with milk for Itzcóatl.

Cooking

Galletas de chocolate
I'm also have been cooking, I have not been put off all year Living magazine I bought last December planning to do all the recipes (at least the sweet ones, hehe), had already outlined the sweet oranges
here, but now I want to tell you about the thumb print of cookies wich are delicious, there are in two versions, lemon and chocolate.
Galletas de chocolate
Both are rich but chocolate is a danger, you feel that you are going to a diabetic coma, but can not stop, the filling is smooth and chocolate, well, the original recipes in English are here and here.

Next I'll go with espresso cookies, crackers, muffins cardamom and anise what will happen first?

On the other hand I'm very excited because we already have several participants to exchange Christmas from several parts of the world.

I am preparing my package for my partner from the Sew Liberated exchange, is a woman from Australia, I will make a simple tree sewing and embroidery, I'll send her my recipe Fruit Cake (whether that is not very original but is very rich and it is our family recipe) and am still a little lost in our family tradition. I also want to make an apron, because she likes cooking and perhaps include a copy of her Christmas album Vos en Punto, which is very Mexican and pretty good, too. If you want to include something extra in your packages you can, but is not mandatory.

I promise pictures soon.
